As of April 1, 2017 TRU - Tourism Research Unit has a new PhD Student!

Last modified: 19.04.2017

I’m enrolled as a PhD student and researching the possibility of municipalities playing an active role in initiating and supporting value chain collaborations between tourism companies and volunteer communities on developing activities for tourists.

In 2011 was awarded the degree of Master of Science on Humanities and Social Sport Science from The University of Copenhagen.

For two years I worked as Assistant Professor at The Army Academy where I taught the cadets how to improve their physical performance.

Since 2013 I’ve been employed in the Cultural department of Varde Kommune (Municipality of Varde). Min tasks have included: project management, writing statements of facts for the political level, development in the area of indoor sport facilities and volunteer communities.

I’m around 40 and live in Esbjerg with my wife and our two kids. Whenever I got some spare time from family life I like to go skateboarding and write more or less serious articles on www.skateboard.dk.
