The European Parliament is the only directly elected body within the EU’s institutional triangle. Throughout the past six decades it evolved from a ‘talking shop’ to a genuine co-legislator, and thus to a key player in EU politics.
Dr. Christian Salm (European Parliamentary Research Service, Brussels) will talk about the development of the European Parliament from a historical perspective, the EP’s direct elections as well as its impact on EU policy development over time.
All students and employees of Aalborg University are welcome!
