From August 1, 2017 I am employed as assistant professor of digital and organizational communication at COB, Crossing Organizational Boundaries.
I have a PhD degree from the Department of Corporate Communication, Aarhus University, and I am especially interested in coworkers as communicators in organizational contexts, and how coworkers’ communication with each other on internal social media influence the organization. In my dissertation I have therefore explored coworkers self-censorship on internal social media, and how coworker communication on internal social can contribute to the construction of organizational identity as well as the coordinators perceptions of the challenges with introducing internal social media in organizations.
I have an educational background in both the Humanities and the Social Science. I have an MA in Literature and Anthropology from Aarhus University as well as a diploma in Business Administration also from Aarhus University and a diploma in Journalism from the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
Before completing my PhD I have worked with intranet, internal and external communication in and for organizations for about ten years as a communication consultant, and I have been a Folk High School Teacher at Brandbjerg Højskole for five years. I really enjoy teaching and I hope I can help Aalborg University to offer students relevant and interesting educations.
