EDGE has a new blog! The main purpose of this blog, called edge of research, is to create an alternative way for EDGEs researchers, affiliated reserachers, students visiting EDGE as interns, invited guest bloggers, etc. to provide knowledge to the public on the issues that EDGE is concerned with. These include matters of gender, equality and diversity at the local, national, and international levels.
edge of research provides original analyses and communicates new findings to another public than the one that would typically be the target of much research-based writing. The blog presents the (cutting) edge of research because — focusing on what’s new, what’s ahead, and what inspires us — we aim to be at the forefront of research related to gender, diversity and equality. And it presents the edge of research because we want to add another edge to our research by grasping the essence of the findings, pulling them from a research context and communicating them to a broader public, hopefully sparking debate in the areas of concern to us.
Facilitating this debate, we want to emphasize that every blogger is responsible for her/his own views and that they are not necessarily representative of EDGE's views.
