VAT

Non-Danish participants will – if certain requirements are fulfilled – be able to claim back the VAT paid:

  • Participants from non-EU countries: an application can be submitted (using the form “31.004 en - refund of VAT to businesses outside the EU”) to the Danish tax authorities.
  • Participants from the EU: vat may be claimed back via your own country’s tax authorities. If you need to include your institution’s VAT no. on the receipt please contact the conference secretary


BURSARIES

A few travel bursaries (granted by the Carlsberg Foundation) of approx. DKK 1,000-3,000 (contribution towards travel expenses and/or hotel, only) will be available for young postdocs and outstanding PhD students whose abstract has been accepted. In order to apply for a bursary please send your two-page application to Julie Skibsted Larsen no later than 19 March 2018:

  1. Applicant’s name, address and email
  2. The title of the abstract that was accepted for the conference
  3. An explanation (approximately 500 words) of why the bursary is needed, and whether other sources of support can be sought or have already been obtained
  4. A one-page CV


FULL CONFERENCE FEE INCLUDES:

  • Participation in the conference
  • Welcome reception at Kunsten - Museum of Modern Art Aalborg (Wednesday 4 July 2018)
  • Food and beverages during the conference (breaks & lunches all three days)
  • Conference materials


Conference dinner 5 July 2018

Three-course conference dinner including 3 glasses of wine (or other beverages) and coffee/tea at Restaurant Fusion which is situated at the Aalborg Waterfront with a magnificent view of the Limfjord (special dietary options will be available upon request).  

Guided walking tours

There is a minimum and a maximum number of participants for each tour:

  • Tours 4A, 4B and 4D: min. 10 persons and maximum 40
  • Tour 4C: min. 15 persons and maximum 35 persons


PAYMENT

The conference fee can be paid via credit cards only. The fee includes 25% Danish VAT.


CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Notification of cancellation must be in writing by email received by the conference secretary before 15 May 2018. 
  • Cancellations received on or before 15 May 2018 will be refunded 50% of the fees paid. 
  • Cancellations received after 15 May 2018 will be non-refundable. 
  • Non-arrivals will be non-refundable for any reason. 
  • Substitute participants will be accepted at any time – a name will be required.
