EDGE is mapping gender, education and population flows of the Nordic region

As part of the Danish Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Children, Gender Equality, Integration and Social Affairs wanted to launch a cross-Nordic mapping of both the challenges and the examples of best practice related to issues of gender, education and migration in the Nordic region

Since December 2014, EDGE has been carrying out the mapping process which includes an extensive literature review as well as requests to researchers from other Nordic countries and to organisations and official institutions for the purpose of gathering input from exchanging ideas on specific national conditions related to gender, education and migration. Associate professor Stine Thidemann Faber, associate professor Helene Pristed Nielsen and research assistant Kathrine Bjerg Bennike are in charge of the mapping process.

The results of the mapping (including the best practice survey) will be disseminated in a report composed in both English and Danish and at a seminar in Greenland in June 2015.
