1 August 2016, I started working at the Department as assistant professor in Spanish professional and organisational communication. I have previously worked at the Department of Business Communication at Aarhus University, where I also wrote my PhD thesis examining how journalists write and revise the news articles that end up in the newspaper. In the thesis, I zoom in on specific cases of the professional practice of journalists as it unfolds in the day-to-day life at a Spanish editorial office. I look forward to continuing my research within the research area of my PhD thesis and to start working on new research projects focusing on corporate communication, in particular external communication.
I have a Master’s degree in International Business Communication (interpretation and translation) in Spanish from the Aarhus School of Business and have been part of the teaching staff there and, after the merger, at the Department of Business Communication, Aarhus BSS. I very much look forward to teaching at the Department; in particular, I am interested in bringing the pedagogical model of problem-based learning into play. In the autumn semester, I will primarily be teaching at Spanish International Business Communications (BA and MA) and one course at Spanish Language and International Studies.
